The technical event is known for the quality of its content and for anticipating trends and challenges in the sector
The challenge of doubling the volume of food produced worldwide in the next 50 years will be debated in the 36th edition of FACTA WSPA – Brazil Conference, one of the main technical events in Brazilian poultry industry, promoted by the APINCO Foundation for Poultry Science and Technology (FACTA, in the Portuguese acronym). The event theme will be “Poultry: the responsibility to feed the world” and it will be held between May 14th and May 16th at Expo D. Pedro, in Campinas (SP), Brazil.
The theme was chosen considering poultry meat has been consistently proven to be a product of excellent quality with a productive process of low environmental impact when compared to the production of other animal protein sources. The event also aims to show that Brazil has a great leadership potential in the sector, given its broad territory and large grain production.
Irenilza de Alencas Nääs, president of FACTA, states: “we intend to seize this reunion of the chain to discuss various aspects of poultry production, in an effort to expand the market of this important food”
Awards
The “José Maria Lamas da Silva” Award will be given on the conference, aiming towards congregating researchers and others interested in the application of technical and scientific knowledge to the improvement of the Brazilian poultry sector.
The FACTA Award for Technical and Scientific Merit will also be delivered during the FACTA WSPA – Brazil 2019 Conference, honoring a professional acting in Brazilian aviculture.
